When it comes to childcare in Calgary, we are committed to going the extra mile for every child to ensure their positive development, happiness and progress. Our program bases curriculum off the emergent model. The emergent curriculum model is a way of planning that focuses on the children’s interests to create a meaningful learning experience. This is done through observation, documentation and flexibility. As the children’s interests and needs change so does the program plan. This means that if the children express an interest in bugs, we will change and adapt the program plan to fit this new interest, as well as the other needs that must be met. Each classroom has a different age group, which requires us to build a program plan to not only suit their age but each child’s individual needs.
We work with children from 12 months to 12 years of age. We provide our services to complement Alberta’s education program, including alphabet, numerical, and social and emotional development. We provide a different program for all of our age groups, catering to that stage in a child’s development, including a French bilingual program. We provide full-time childcare to the surrounding communities of Riverbend and Ogden as well as before and after-school care for four of the local schools.
